Wild Contact

Where the whole forest meets your whole self.

Forest retreats for mental health practitioners

These immersive forest retreats are offered to therapists, MH counsellors, social workers, and healers who spend their work days holding space for others and often have little left for themselves, or recognize they are in need of deep recharge and energetic “composting”.

You already know how to sit with unfinished business. Out here, the forest sits with yours.

Through guided, as well as co-created plays, practices and flows, and shared stories, we get to explore, touch earth, facetime with moss, experiment , and just be, while held by incredible Land, Forest and River, who are deeply respected and cared for by diverse group of incredibly brave, magically creative and hard-heart-working humans.

  • My practice is trans-affirming, queer-affirming, and sex worker-affirming. I work with individuals and couples navigating ethical non-monogamy and other relationship structures outside the mainstream. I believe therapy should be a space where your identity, desires, and lived realities are met with respect — not pathologized.

As a settler, I acknowledge that the land I steward and practice on is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Ojibwe, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land is protected by the “Dish With One Spoon” wampum agreement — a commitment to shared responsibility, reciprocity, and peace.

This understanding informs my work. Healing does not happen in isolation; it happens in relationship — with one another and with the land that holds us.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Gestalt psychotherapy takes a path, that embraces a person’s whole experience. It is a holistic, embodied, and relational practice that allows us to explore how we make sense of what we see, hear and feel not only in our thoughts, but in the sensations of our bodies and the emotions we hold.

Gestalt therapy is not about finding quick answers or solutions. It is an exploration, grounded in curiosity and presence. In our work together, we pay close attention to your experience—as it arises in thoughts, emotions, and sensations—and to the relational field that connects us in the here and now.

  • Many benefit plans cover the cost (or a portion) of therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). Gestalt Psychotherapy usually is covered by most insurance providers. Contact your benefits provider for more information on your coverage, including benefits renewal date and total cost covered.

  • Payment is required at the end of each therapy session via e-transfer.

  • In order to maximize the effectiveness of therapy, clients should make attending sessions a priority and are encouraged to avoid cancelling sessions except in the case of illness or emergencies. Session fees will be applied for appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. There is an understanding that unforeseen circumstances occur and in these particular situations waiving the fee will be considered.

  • Adults (18+) who are curious about their internal world, relational patterns, and lived experience. Many of my clients resonate with being outsiders, truth-seekers, creatives, or those navigating unconventional paths.

  • No - they are experiential and educational offerings. They are not psychotherapy services and are not a substitute for individual therapy.

  • Yes - individual & couples psychotherapy sessions are available virtually for residents of Ontario.
